History of Swedish Massage by Nicholas Mulryan
Swedish Massage at The No 1 Pain Relief Clinic

Swedish Body Massage was initially introduced in medical gymnastics during the 19th century supposedly developed by late 18th century Swedish physiologist Pehr Henrick Ling (1776-1839).  It is suggested that Pehr Henrick Ling studied therapeutic techniques used by the ancient civilisations such as the Greeks and Romans to develop a unique system what we now know today as Swedish Body Massage to promote and facilitate therapeutic healing.

Arguably other people suggest that the late Dutch physician Dr Johan Georg Mezger (1839-1901) may have been the true developer due to creating the French names associated with the various soft tissue techniques used in Swedish Body Massage to help rehabilitate patients.

Nick's experience and in depth clinical knowledge is second to none in both conventional and orthodox medicine.

His no nonsense approach is thorough and I was very pleased with the treatments and after-care he provided for my aches and pains and injuries.

Nick was professional friendly and honest. I felt involved in all decisions he was making as my views were considered and incorporated into my rehabilitation plan.

I would highly recommend Nick and his pain relief clinic services. Thanks to Nick he has helped dramatically improve my overall health and well-being beyond all expectations.
