History of Cranio-Sacral Therapy

Cranio-Sacral Therapy was developed by a physician John E Upledger a professor of biomechanics at Michigan State University following years of clinical testing and research.

 History Of Cranio-Sacral Therapy

Cranio-Sacral Therapy

During the 1970’s Prof Upledger observed the rhythmic motions of a patient whilst assisting a neck surgery case which soon became known as the Cranio-Sacral system. From these observations he encountered he researched Dr William Sutherland earlier work and concepts on cranial rhythm. Whilst serving as the clinical researcher and Professor in biomechanics at Michigan State University he formed a research team of physicians which not only helped clarify Dr Sutherland’s concepts but helped define the mechanisms behind the motion of the cranio-sacral system. From these findings Professor Upledger continued his work to develop Cranio-Sacral therapy (CST) which today has become very popular.

I am more than happy to recommend Nick from my reflexology treatment received. The treatment was invigorating and yet very soothing which has given me a wonderful boost following a stressful week at work.

Nick was very thorough and extremely attentive towards my needs. He also gave me practical advise and tips to help me with my marathon training. My feet now feel amazing. Thanks
